Funeral services for Mr. Carl Ray Franks, of West Monroe, LA, will be 2:00pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe with Rev. Jason Hodge and Rev. Carlisle officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery near West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 12:00noon until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Franks was born December 18, 1938 in West Monroe, LA and passed from this life on November 16, 2016 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 77. He was a painter by trade, a member of Living Way Apostolic Church and he especially loved good gospel singing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Zennie and Lillian Franks; two sisters, Merilyn Parker and Zennie M. Shamburger; and four brothers, David Franks, Ronald L. Franks, Thomas Eugene Franks and Jackie L. Franks.

Survivors include his children, Kevin R. Franks of West Monroe and Danette Sager of Monroe; two sisters, Irma Justice and husband John and Shirley Palomo all of West Monroe; two brothers, Alsey Franks and wife Avice of West Monroe and Raymond Franks of Louisville, KY; Carl’s former spouse, Julia Franks Whitlock of West Monroe; also survived by four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be William Page, and nephews, Josh Franks, Barry Franks, Kelsie Parker, Mark Franks and Bill Shamburger.
