Graveside services for Mr. Billy Wayne Sanders of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ed Jordan officiating. Interment will directly follow at the cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until 1:45pm Wednesday at Griffin Funeral Home.
Mr. Sanders was born May 24, 1933 in Columbia, LA and passed from this life on January 9, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 83.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Ethan Ryan Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Sanders of West Monroe; his children, Laurie Sanders McGuffee of West Monroe and Billy Jack Sanders and wife Johnna of Choudrant; two brothers, Jerrell Sanders of West Monroe and John Sanders of Mendonhall, MS; one sister, Carolyn Sanders of West Monroe; four grandchildren, Courtney Sanders, Joshua McGuffee, Laura Ellard and Jaxson Sanders; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Ussery, Fenix Parrott and Isabella McGuffee; faithful dog and companion, “Mister” and two cats, “Max” and “Little Bit”; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Joshua McGuffee, Dillon Ellard, Justin Young, David Bolton, Chris Bailey and Danny Barrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Tolar, Robert Bolton, John Michael Copeland, and “Chief” Robert Sims.
