Cynthia Ann McAlister
Funeral services for Mrs. Cynthia Ann McAlister of Jefferson, TX, formerly of West Monroe, will be 11:00am Monday, February 20, 2017 at Luna Assembly of God near West Monroe with Rev. Joel Brackett officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mrs. McAlister was born August 16, 1959 in West Monroe, LA and passed from this life after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 58. She loved to sing and play piano and especially loved old southern gospel music. She was a devout Christian, who was unfaltering in her faith. She taught Sunday School at Luna Assembly of God, along with other congregations. Cynthia especially loved her shih tzu and beloved fur baby, “Max”.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan McAlister; her father, Charles Robert, Sr.; and one sister, Margie Tomzczak.
Survivors include her children, Jennifer Smith, Krystal Myatt and Brandon Robert; two grandchildren, Luke and Albert; her mother, Barbara Robert of Luna; her siblings, Harvey Robert, Patricia Warbington, Lisa Robert, Clayton Robert and Brad Robert; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
