Memorial services for Mrs. Wilma Irene Gibson, of West Monroe, LA will be 1:00pm Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hyde Park Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mrs. Gibson was born September 16, 1924 in Bono, AR and passed from this life on March 21, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 92.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Maggie Midgett; her first husband, Donald Moody; second husband, Floyd H. Gibson; brothers, Alfred Midgett and Herman Midgett; sisters, Gladys Johnson and Alta Rhodes; and one son, Jimmy Moody.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Kennedy and husband Kenny of West Monroe; one son, Danny Moody and wife Cathy of Baton Rouge; one daughter-in-law, Carol Moody of Dallas, TX; one sister, Helen Parker of Jonesboro, AR; one sister-in-law, Ivaline Moody of Jonesboro, AR; grandchildren, Kristina Kennedy of West Monroe, Kelly Lee and husband Scott of West Monroe, Carrie Suidy and husband Rick of Monroe, Tony Moody and wife Becky of Dallas, TX, Melissa Devor and husband Richard of Dallas, TX, Rebecca Pivaral of Dallas, TX, Lacy Cook of Indianapolis, IN and Michael Gross of Memphis, TN; also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Amie Hospice and Amy Boyette for their outstanding love and care for our mother.
