Bruce Gwynn Cosby
Funeral services for Mr. Bruce Gwynn Cosby of Monroe, LA will be 11:00am Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Pastor Rick McPhearson officiating. Interment will follow at Northeast Louisiana Veterans’ Cemetery in Rayville, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cosby was born August 14, 1935 in West Monroe, LA and passed from this life on May 30, 2017 in Monroe, LA at the age of 81. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Cosby; his father, Bruce Cosby; his mother, Martie Crowell; and one brother, Roy Hudgins.
Survivors include his wife, Jerry Cosby of West Monroe; three sons, Michael Cosby and wife Autumn of Pawhuska, OK, Monty Cosby and wife Anna of Oklahoma, and Cory Cosby and wife Kristy of Oklahoma; one daughter, Lori Cosby of Oklahoma; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Sons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
